Business description:
Melinda Dridan is a Psychologist who specialises in conducting standardised psychological assessments for children and adolescents (aged 4 to 17 years old). Melinda can conduct assessments for educational, diagnostic or exploratory purposes. She administers tests for dyslexia, other learning disabilities, autism, aspergers, adhd, intellectual disability, underachievement, giftedness, cognitive functioning or other mental health concerns.
As part of the assessment service, Melinda issues parents with a detailed report of the findings and provides strategies to assist their child at school and at home. To make testing more affordable for families, Melinda also offers payment plans.
In addition to psychological testing, Melinda provides counselling to children and adults (based in Maryborough only). She is registered to provide services under Medicare, Workcover and TAC. Melinda provides psychological treatment to clients on a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, separation anxiety, post traumatic stress, abuse, relationships, drug and alcohol, offending behaviours, self-esteem, borderline personalities, bipolar, and other mental health issues.
Melinda has gained many years of experience through working in prisons, schools and community settings. She has counselled individuals and families, facilitated group therapy, and managed and supervised other therapists. Currently, Melinda holds a contract for intellectual disability testing in many state schools within the Loddon Mallee Region and is also an EAP provider for some local businesses (Employee Assistance Program).
